Simply follow below mentioned solutions to fix error “card locked” of memory card:

Solution 1: Check for the Lock

In your camera, where memory card is inserted, check if there is any “Arrow” mark that has locked your card. There will be “Locked” written beside it. You can see the little switch on the upper left corner of the card, just push it downward. If there is no arrow mark, you can still push the switch.

Once you are down with it, you card will now be unlocked. Follow the below steps if problem still exist after inserting it into the camera.

Solution 2: Check for the card corruption

It may be possible that your memory card gets corrupted, if there is any interruption such as ejecting memory card while read/write process was in progress. Or capturing the photos while camera battery is low or memory space is low.

In such case the only option left with you is to format the card. Once formatted you will lose all important videos and photos, but now you don’t need to worry as you can always use Digital Media Recovery Tool, to restore your photos and videos from formatted card.
