How to Fix memory card "write protected" error

Please help me to fix “write protected” error of my SD card. Jut few days back my SD card was working fine, but today I don’t know why it is throwing error message “write protected”. I have lost of photos stored on it that I want back. Please help me! Thanks in Advance.

Follow below mentioned solutions to fix Memory card error “write protected”:
Solution 1: Remove Write Protection with your PC

  • Connect your Memory card with your computer with the help of card reader
  • Click Start, the type “Run” in search address bar and hit Enter
  • Now type Regedit into Run and select “Registry Editor”
  • Then look for: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentConrolSet/Control/StorageDevicePolicies
  • You can see the Write Protection option. Just double click on it and change the Value Set Data to ‘0’
  • Save and Exit

Solution 2: Format the Card [Last Option]

If above method fails then you have to format the card. Formatting the card will erase all the data stored on it. But do not worry after formatting the card, you can immediately use Card Data Recovery Tool to restore formatted files such as photos, videos and audio files from card.
